Toddler’s Reaction After Being Fitted For Hearing Aids And Experiencing Sound For The First Time.

Dylan Lipton-Lesser was born premature and has hearing loss. The 24-month-old was recently fitted with his very first hearing aids at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond, Virginia.  He could not stop laughing at the sound of his mother’s voice! Dylan’s mother says he now loves listening to music and laughing.

Born on Valentine’s Day 2012, 11 weeks premature, weighing 3 lbs & battling a dangerous infection for 101 days in the NICU, Dylan Eli’s had 15 brain surgeries to treat the Hydrocephalus he acquired while battling the infection.

In 2013 he developed moderate hearing loss (he was not born deaf). This video shows him getting fitted with his hearing aids for the 1st time at Children’ s Hospital of Richmond at VCU.

He’s been through a lot in his 23 months but obviously his laughter is infectious!
