The Wisdom of the Ancient Philosopher – Confucius

- in Life

Confucius (551–479 BC), the ancient Chinese philosopher

Whenever I am looking for some advice or guidance in life, I tend to seek advice from the ancient philosophers. Confucius is one of my favorites. This guy was in the zone! Some of my favorite Confucius quotes are listed below.

“Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.”

“Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.”

“It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.”

“Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in getting up every time we do.”

“Respect yourself and others will respect you.”

“Real knowledge is to know the extent of one’s ignorance.”

“When anger rises, think of the consequences.”

“They must often change, who would be constant in happiness or wisdom.”

“Do not impose on others what you yourself do not desire.”

“A man who has committed a mistake and doesn’t correct it is committing another mistake.”

An Amazing Book to check out is “The Analects of Confucius”. It is the collection of sayings, ideas and thoughts attributed to Confucius, traditionally believed to have been written by Confucius’ followers.
